Outpatient surgery located in the Center for Health and Healing. We function with multiple operating room suites, providing care in a variety of orthopedic and other surgical specialties. The Perioperative RN works as a member of an interdisciplinary team providing direct and indirect professional nursing care in the Circulating or Scrub roles. The RN has expertise in the application of the nursing process within the Perioperative setting, has the ability to manage stressful/ unusual situations in a positive manner, and embraces the OHSU Core Competencies (Accountability, Collaboration, Communication, Diversity, Integrity, Respect, Service Orientation and Teamwork) in to his/ her/ their practice. The RN must practice within Oregon law and adhere to AORN standards and recommended practices.
