The Labor & Delivery Unit includes 12 labor rooms, a 4-bed triage area, three dedicated operating rooms, and a two-bay PACU. Nurses care for a diverse patient population ranging from low-intervention and water births supported by a robust midwifery practice to the region's most medically complex maternal and fetal patients. Working alongside maternal-fetal medicine specialists, neonatologists, pediatric surgeons, and specialty care coordinators, nurses provide innovative, evidence-based care utilizing the latest advances in obstetric and neonatal medicine.
The Labor & delivery and Mother Baby Units combined provide intrapartum, antepartum and newborn care to low and at risk populations. Care is provided based on acuity, patient type and is in line with the Association of Obstetric, Women’s Health and Neonatal Nurses Guidelines for patients care (AWHONN).
